From all four corners of the earth and the multitudes of all races, ages, gender, class, religion and political movements converged to the befitting states funeral at the Johannesburg’s Orlando Stadium, a 40 000 capacity Stadium to salute and send to her final resting place one of the greatest souls the human race has ever known, a stalwart and mother of the nation who succumbed to an illness and died on Monday 2 April 2018 in a Johannesburg Hospital in the loving company of her loved ones, Mama Winnie Nomzamo Madikizela Mandela.

Her spirit in existence and in death, left influences and arrested the globe’s many living souls to live more for others than thy self, believe and achieve. Since her departing, social media trended the #IamWinnieMandela” in head scarves-Amaduku, Imbokodo from around the world covered their heads and trended this movement in her honour.

The South African President, Cyril Ramaphosa in his eulogy said: “In death‚ she has demonstrated that our many differences along political party and racial lines and the numerous disputes we may have are eclipsed by our shared desire to follow her lead in building a just‚ equitable and caring society.”

The Heroin Comrade spirit of the fallen struggle icon showed up through the uncompromising words of disgust from family and friends, towards hypocritical and pretentious mourners.

HRH Zenani said: “I was particularly angered by the former Police Commissioner, George Fivaz for cruelly only coming out with the truth after my mother’s death.”

“And to those who have vilified my mother through books, on social media and speeches, don’t for a minute think we’ve forgotten. The pain you inflicted on her lives on is in us.”

“Praising her now that she’s gone shows how hypocrites you are. Why did’nt you do the same to any of her male counterparts and remind the world of the many crimes they committed before they were called saints.”

While Julius Malema, Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Leader said: “They must never think we have forgotten what they did to you. We see you. If it is true that the African National Congress (ANC) wants to honour Winnie Mandela, name the Cape Town Airport Winnie Mandela Airport.”
