Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema addressed a crowd of over One thousand five hundred students at the Durban University of Technology (DUT).
Speaking at the Steve Biko Campus, Malema said, ‘This campus is of the Economic Freedom Fighters’.
Malema’s choice of campus comes as no surprise, infact it is in this very university were the movement gained momentum among students through the ‘Fees Must Fall protest lead by Bongonkosi Education Khanyile whose demise resulted to a three year term of house arrest .’ Today, the Durban University of Technology (DUT)’s Students Representative Council (SRC) is led by the Economic Freedom Fighters Student Command (EFFSC).
“I support the EFF at school and in the national because they are the only party that fights for black students” said Snethemba Mbatha, a DUT hospitality student.
He further declared that under his leadership education in South Africa will be decolonized and Free, and that all other learning related necessities shall equally enjoy this previllage.He encouraged students to vote EFF in the upcoming elections.
