KwaZulu-Natal Economic Development (KZNED) lead by MEC Weziwe Thusi launches a call centre, 133 cars and trucks for the needy.
The Pietermaritzburg located community-to- public services linkage through a call centre, was today officially handed over to a social work team of three and administrator whose seven-year-plus experience promises ease to future callers from around the province.
“With this service you are able to communicate with us even if you don’t have airtime, you can call and then we will respond. We are working with the department of health’s emergency services and SAPS.”MEC Thusi said.
Social workers and Social development practitioners have been today, afforded 133 cars in order to achieve simplified outreach and turnaround time.
Trucks and vans for food delivery formed part of Thusi’s giving spree. With passion and satisfaction, she further said ” We are also launching trucks and vans for our food distribution centres that are run by NPO’s. These NPO’s assist communities where ever there’s a person who needs social relief of stress.”
