KZN MUNICIPALITY TO WRITE A NEW SERVICE DELIVERY CHAPTER
· KZN GOVERNMENT KICKS –OFF 25 YEARS OF DEMOCRACY IN STYLE AS GREATER KOKSTAD ACHIEVES 100% ACCESS TO ELECTRICITY

Tomorrow, a new service delivery chapter will be written as the province of KwaZulu-Natal kicks-off the 25 years of democracy anniversary festivities, on a high note with the celebrations of Kokstad Municipality for being one of the first municipalities to provide electricity to all the wards within its jurisdiction.
It seemed like a distant dream before that a municipality can achieve this important feat of providing electricity to all residents but Kokstad will write a new service delivery chapter in the country.
This milestone achievement is the result of government’s commitment to ensuring that the lives of residents in the deep rural areas of the province are transformed.
KZN MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Cogta) Nomusa Dube-Ncube together with the Mayor of Kokstad, will tomorrow, 17 April 2019, visit the Greater Kokstad local municipality to formally congratulate and celebrate it for having achieved universal access to electricity.
Dube-Ncube will also hand over life-saving equipment which will include state of the art fire engines bought by her department to improve the capacity of this municipality to deal with disasters. Members of the media are cordially invited to attend this event which is scheduled as follows:
