Pastor Mzimela laid to Rest

A great number of people flocked to the funeral service of Pioneering Bishop Zwelakhe Mzimela, who was laid to rest on Saturday in Kwa-Mashu.

The funeral service was held at the Kwa-Mashu Christian Centre (KCC), which Bishop Mzimela founded in 1991,where mourners celebrated and honored the life of the Pioneer through songs,preaching and sharing the legacy he has left behind. The government officials including, the Premier of KwaZulu-Natal Sihle Zikalala, South African Minister of Police Bheki Cele, Former Minister of Correctional services Sbusiso Ndebele and Mayor of Ethekwini Metropolitan Municipality Zandile Gumede,also came to pay their last respect to the Hero of faith.
Family member Mr Fidelisi Mzimela(Brother) had applaud his brother by saying “My brother has taken a great path by living a Godly life until his departure”. His Son, daughters and grandchildren also shared the Fun and incredible moments they had with him.
A Multitude of Pastors and Apostles from around the globe were given opportunities to give a message of support to the Mzimela family. Pastor John Torrens from Durban Christian Centre spoke on behalf of Pastor Nelly Roberts and the late Dr Fred Roberts and ended by saying “Well done good servant,you have fought the good fight of faith and won the race”.Mr Mzimela was laid rest at the church that he founded.

The program director Pastor M.M Zulu closed the service by thanking everyone on behalf of the Mzimela family, indeed the Giant tree has fallen.
