The rural village of KwaQwabe in the Nquthu local municipality is set to join thousands of households that already benefit from electricity in the province of KZN.
KZN MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Cogta) Sipho Hlomuka, together with Eskom, will tomorrow, 16 July, visit this community to officially introduce the contractor who will be commencing with the electrification of 139 local households.
The implementation of this electrification programme is part of efforts by the KZN provincial government to speed up the rollout of electricity to rural communities.
